Mike and Peggy Linton have been in the real estate industry for over 30 years. They met back in 1989 while both working as Realtors at a Help-U-Sell real estate office in Crystal Lake, Illinois. After dating for a little over a year, they were married at the Alliance Bible Church in McHenry, Illinois on March 17, 1991. Yep, St. Patrick’s Day.
They continued as full time real estate agents, working for Prudential, Century 21, and RE/MAX. In 1997 Mike took a job with Kimball Hill Homes managing site sales for developments in Round Lake, Illinois, Grayslake, Illinois and Libertyville, Illinois. Peggy sold new construction homes in McHenry, Illinois for Gerstad builders.
In late 2000, While shoveling snow on a cold Chicago winter day, Mike came in and asked Peggy if she wanted Peaches or Beaches …. Peggy asked “What do you mean?” and Mike responded “We can do what we do anywhere. There is no reason to stay up here in the cold, so do you want to move to Georgia or Florida (Peaches or Beaches).” Peggy picked Florida.
Once they arrived in Florida, Mike took a job as a loan officer at The Mortgage Center, specializing in condominium financing. Peggy found the sales office of DiMucci Development in Daytona Beach Shores. DiMucci was a name both Mike and Peggy knew from Chicago. The DiMucci family had been developing real estate in the Chicago area since 1939 and had recently started developing condos in Ponce Inlet Florida. Peggy was hired to sell oceanfront condos and started selling Towers Grande in Daytona Beach Shores.
In 2001, Mike and Peggy both received their Florida Real Estate license and moved from the development division of DiMucci to the resale division of DiMucci Realty. Peggy convinced Tony DiMucci to let her list about 50 of the developer units in Towers Grande. During the real estate boom of 2004 and 2005, many of the original buyers of Towers Grande decided to “Flip” their condo purchase, which resulted in about 30 additional listings in Towers Grande. Many of these investors had great success in their purchases from Mike and Peggy Linton.
This time at DiMucci Realty ignited Mike and Peggy’s passion for real estate.
Peggy really enjoys helping people find joy in selecting an oceanfront unit. Most recently she worked for a development in Daytona Beach selling resort condos. It was here that she came up with the idea for her builder referral program. Call her to find out more (386)506-8848.
Watching the success of the investors from the DiMucci days and being an analytical guy, Mike dove in head first learning the ins and outs of real estate investment. He took investment banking classes and mastered Real Estate Investment Trust Valuation and real estate financial modeling. It was during this time a new idea was born …. Global Expansion.
Mike and Peggy Linton founded the Linton Global Real Estate Team in January 2015. The idea is to build a central processing “HUB” which processes real estate transactions, originates lead generation, engages highly effective marketing plans and grows the team.
This system allow both Mike and Peggy to follow their passion while building a business that will take care of the family in the future. Peggy’s business grows through her personal brands TalkToPeggy.com and DaytonaOceanfront.com.
Mike attracts real estate investors through his real estate investment sites FloridaInvestorHomes.com, ChicagoInvestorHomes.com, Florida1031.com, Miami1031.com and markets international properties through MikeLintonTeam.com. LintonGlobal.com is the central hub for all of their sites.
The goal for their investors is simple – build wealth one property at a time and use the 1031 process to roll profits into larger properties.
Part of the process Mike uses is he personally reviews over 300 properties a month and puts out a weekly list of the “Top Ten Investment Properties.” The goal is to have investors “Invest In High Quality Real Estate.”
Investing in high quality real estate is easy with the Linton Global Real Estate Team. They utilize the Mega Team expansion system (which is originated and developed by Keller Williams Realty) that has allowed them to build a central processing hub located in their home base in Florida, while utilizing partner networks under the team brand, Linton Global. Currently they service the cities and suburbs of Orlando Florida, Daytona Beach Florida, and Miami Florida. They will be expanding to the west coast of Florida the fall of 2015, and Chicago Illinois and its suburbs the spring of 2016.
